Although the origins of vodka can be attributed to Russia , we must admit that, if this particular spirit has become part of Western drinking culture, it is all thanks to that sworn enemy of Russian spies who is James Bond ! It was 1953, in fact, when Ian Fleming in his Casino Royale , introduced the famous cocktail Martini Vesper , evolution of the historic Martini Cocktail, in which vodka replaced gin; but it was in 1962, with 007 License to Kill when, for the first time, a bottle of Smirnoff and never was advertising more apt! This distillate immediately became the protagonist of many cocktails and, even today, there is no barman who doesn't keep at least one bottle of it on the counter.

Crystalline and very pure, it gives the nose floral and spicy sensations, aromatic herbs, white pepper and hints of chocolate. On the palate it is soft and velvety, fully corresponding to the nose, with a beautiful delicate finish.

Straight or mixed, it's the perfect vodka!
