One day, perhaps, you too will discover the taste unique by China Martini. That's what it said advertisement of this inimitable product in the Eighties; historic liqueur from the Martini & Rossi company, China is an excellent union of alcoholic extracts of aromatic herbs and Cinchona Calisaia bark . This elixir was initially used, between 1700 and 1800, as a medicine in the fight against malaria ; when, later, this disease gradually disappeared, it simply became an excellent and invigorating digestive bitter.

With its characteristic and intense burnished color and olfactory notes reminiscent of bitter orange, rhubarb and medicinal herbs, China Martini has an initial sweet taste that immediately turns bitter but without disturbing.

Pleasant if enjoyed neat at the end of a meal to aid digestion, or with a few ice cubes, it can be mixed with hot water, with a lemon zest to obtain a refreshing winter drink.
